Construction Growth Foundation (CGF) are partnering with Business Mentors New Zealand (BMNZ) to deliver mentoring to help strengthen business capability in the construction sector.

At its recent AGM, the Building & Construction Training Fund’s members approved changes to the organisation’s Constitution and a name change to better reflect the wider role it has carved out since its initial establishment. Its broader focus on driving sector capability and sustainability is embodied in its new name, Construction Growth Foundation. 

Building and Construction Training Fund (BCTF) is pleased to have submitted further feedback to Government on its proposed vocational education reform, as one of the selected industry groups consulted on proposals outlined in the Ministry of Education’s Options for the future of work-based learning (January 2025).

Celebrating success in building capability across the building and construction sector 

In the first full year of implementing its strategy, the Building and Construction Training Fund (BCTF) has awarded over 55 scholarships to tradespeople completing advanced trade-related study and provided governance training for over 100 directors from its member constituency.

 Building and Construction Training Fund (BCTF) welcomes the Government’s proposed reform of the vocational education and training system in New Zealand, as an opportunity for meaningful changes that set the system up to improve outcomes.
