Kieren Mallon

Kieren has a proven track record in the construction industry throughout New Zealand. Whilst running a number of his own businesses in construction, joinery and architectural products, he is also actively involved in the advocacy side of the industry. He is a National Board Member of the Registered Master Builders Association. Kieren has also sat on advisory groups for Auckland City Council, Site Safe, ACC Corporation and the NZRMBA, as well as working as a mentor for Business Mentors NZ.

Phil Brosnan

Phil’s 40-year construction career started with an apprenticeship in Dunedin before moving through quantity surveying, project management and business management before he established Brosnan Group and Bettabuilt. These two businesses employ in excess of 300 staff, have offices in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown and have annual sales of almost $200M.

His governance experience outside of these businesses spans 12 years, largely in the not-for-profit sector including Directorships and 5 years as Chairperson of the Board. Phil is a Chartered Director with the Institute of Directors and joined the CGF Board in January 2023.

Brett Francis

Brett Francis leads the Windows and Glass Association New Zealand having previously managed the amalgamation of two separate window and glass association groups.

Rob Gaimster

Rob Gaimster has a background in civil engineering and has been involved in the concrete industry in New Zealand and in the UK. He leads Concrete NZ, including managing the merger of five previous organisations in 2017. He previously sat on the BCITO Board and the CGF Board at the time of its initial establishment.

Brigitte Knill

Brigitte has over 25 years' experience in New Zealand’s Commercial Construction Industry. As GM and Director of Triangle Fire Protection Ltd, she leads major fire protection projects across complex, operational environments — from concept through to compliance.

Known for her practical people-first leadership and industry insight, Brigitte is also active in governance, workforce development, and training initiatives. She joined the CGF board in 2023.

Craig Treloar

Craig is the Executive General Manager at Hawkins Ltd, a division of Downer and New Zealand’s largest commercial construction company. He has been a member of the Board of the Building and Construction Training Fund (Inc) since January 2023.

With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Craig began his career at Hawkins as a Foreman and steadily progressed through key leadership roles, including Project Director, Auckland Regional Manager and General Manager before taking on his current role as EGM.

Craig is driven by the dynamic nature of the construction industry. He takes pride in leading high-performing teams that have delivered some of New Zealand’s most significant and complex projects.

Grant Florence

Grant has had extensive experience in the building industry in New Zealand over the past 35 years. Grant took up the role as Interim Chief Executive of CGF in October 2022 following being on the Board of BCITO for 9 years. He was also a Director on the Te Pūkenga – Work Place Learning Board for 2 years during the transition following the Review of Vocational Education in 2021.

Grant was Chief Executive of NZ Certified Builders for 10 years until 2022 and prior to that had a number of Chief Executive and Senior Executive roles with Fletcher Residential, Surf Life Saving New Zealand and his own company NCB Limited. Grant is a member of the Institute of Directors New Zealand.

Brian Dillon

Brian Dillon is the Chief Executive of CGF and was appointed to the role in 2024. Brian has extensive experience in the construction industry, both from a training and education and commercial perspective. Prior to joining CGF, Brian was the National Ako Network Director for Construction and Infrastructure at Te Pūkenga. He is a qualified carpenter and holds an MBA from the University of Waikato.

Jeanine McAuley

Jeanine provides dedicated support to the Board and Chief Executive in both governance and operational matters.

Jeanine has worked for the CGF since its inception after having worked for a short period for the BCITO. Jeanine holds a degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Law
