ConstrucTrend 2025 Survey findings

ConstrucTrend 2025 is a nationwide study commissioned by ConCOVE Tūhura to understand skill gaps, upskilling priorities, and emerging technology needs across Aotearoa’s carpentry, electrical, and plumbing/gasfitting/drainlaying (PGD) sectors.

The research captures the perspectives of tradespeople and the employers who hire them, providing a detailed picture of where the workforce is strong, where gaps remain, and how rapidly the trades are adapting to new technologies.

This evidence base supports industry, training providers, and workforce planners to shape the next generation of training and capability development.
