The report indicates New Zealand needs a united effort from the government, industry, and vocational education and training organisations to tackle New Zealand’s skilled labour shortage.

It recommends the four following urgent actions:

  1. Significant and ongoing engagement with industry

  2. Substantial and sustained funding at scale to develop multiple training options.

  3. A large campus for training at scale to develop multiple training options.

This call to action is a pivotal step towards securing New Zealand’s future in the face of growth in infrastructure demands.
