The Construction Growth Foundation, in partnership with the Institute of Directors, delivers targeted governance training designed specifically for building and construction industry associations. 

Strong governance is fundamental to achieving your association's purpose and vision. This one-day intensive programme equips directors, trustees, and emerging leaders with the skills and frameworks needed to govern effectively, think strategically, and lead their organisations confidently into the future.

  • This course is designed for:

    Each CGF member association may nominate up to three participants annually at no cost. 

  • Fully funded by CGF. There is no cost to participants or their associations. 

    CGF covers: 

    • All course fees 

    • Travel (flights or mileage) 

    • Accommodation 

    • Meals 

    This investment reflects CGF's commitment to building governance capability across the construction sector. 

  • The course is a full-day intensive programme, typically running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

    The course includes: 

    • Governance fundamentals and the role of the board 

    • Strategic planning and organisational performance 

    • Financial oversight and risk management 

    • Legal duties and compliance obligations 

    • Effective board decision-making and meeting management 

    • Stakeholder engagement and member accountability 

    Following the course, participants are invited to a half-day CGF workshop to share sector insights, discuss common challenges, and provide input on CGF's strategic direction.
